Heifetz International Music Institute

The Heifetz International Music Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the artistic growth and career development of some of the most talented and promising young musicians in the world.

The Heifetz Institute provides an intense six-week summer program for solo performance and chamber music. In addition to the intensity of two private lessons each week and five hours per day of practice time, the students take a series of one hour classes each afternoon (one per day) in public speaking, voice, drama, movement, and freedom of expression. This innovative, comprehensive, and cross-disciplinary curriculum can enhance anyone’s ability to become a more expressive and communicative person.

Visit our new gift shop, headquarters, and box office in Historic Downtown Staunton, VA for more information about the Institute.

Tourists are particularly interested in the stained-glass, including twelve Tiffany windows which span Louis Comfort Tiffany’s 40-year career. There is also a Taylor & Boody organ, installed in 2000 and completed in 2014.
