Dine Out in Downtown

Starting on June 5th, Beverley Street in Downtown Staunton will be closed to vehicular traffic to allow for additional outdoor restaurant seating. The City of Staunton in conjunction with the SDDA has worked to extend this program through September 7th. As the September 7th date approaches, the committee will discuss continuing this program into the fall. Please find resources and a list of participating businesses below.

Know Before You Go – Downtown Dining Guidelines

Please refer to these guidelines you should know before you Dine Out in Downtown.

  • Stay home if you are feeling ill or if you have been exposed to an ill individual
  • Follow the state’s guidance regarding face coverings
  • Leave your pets at home
  • No restrooms, other than restrooms open by restaurants to their patrons, will be available for use
  • Keep at least 6 feet between you and others to maintain social distancing
  • Consume alcohol in designated outdoor dining areas – no open containers permitted beyond those area
  • No smoking in designated outdoor dining areas

NEW Curbside Pick-up Locations

Below are photographs depicting the locations for designated curbside pick-up for businesses affected by the Beverley St. closure. Please park in the indicated spots and call the business you purchased from to let them know that you have arrived.

Parking

The City has suspended parking fees in the following locations until further notice:

  • New Street Parking Garage
  • Johnson Greet Parking Garage
  • Wharf Parking Lot
  • Augusta Street Parking Lot

Other private lots may be available downtown. Please follow any posted signage to avoid towing fees.
