We are challenged to let the community and the media know what’s happening externally and internally! We send the Thursday enews - the Downtown Lowdown, the SDDA Facebook page, monthly e-news. We are looking for someone willing to write short, informational stories about the goings-on with the Association, in and around the District and the people and businesses that make it happen.
Do you have some time to artistry and creativity to design SDDA promotional pieces? Posters? Ads? Brochures? SDDA website?
Do you love to take photos? We always needs great shots of Downtown people, businesses, buildings and architecture and activities.
Enjoy a walk around Downtown and help us by distributing information to the businesses. Take our Shopping and Dining Guides to local lodging and attractions.
Do you have an expertise that you are dying to share? Help to educate our businesses and the community. We host seminars and discussions about everything from business practices, products and trends to community initiatives.
Share your expertise with an independent business! Meet one-on-one and watch a business grow! Facebook/social networking and marketing, display and merchandising, technical assistance, HR and evaluation.
Do you love to read the News Leader, local magazines and online articles? Clip copies of articles about Downtown and SDDA advertising.
Like to shop and play? Take photos of your favorite Downtown events, performances businesses, people, products and post your favorite shots on our Downtown Staunton page.
Greet guests, handout promotional items and man the SDDA table at Downtown events. Be an ambassador for the SDDA while enjoying the fun!

Be a cheerleader for the SDDA and Downtown by recruiting volunteers, visiting stores or property owners, assisting with the membership drive and collecting information for the SDDA.
