Bring a little Winter Magic to your storefront!

We’re inviting businesses throughout all downtown Staunton—not just Beverley Street

to join this year’s Downtown Holiday Window Walk, on display beginning November 20.

$150 sponsorship per window supports local artists creating the artwork and covers printing costs.

Participating storefronts will receive

approximately 2′ × 3′ die-cut foam core snow globe featuring an illustrated scene with accompanying words celebrating the everyday magic of kindness, connection, and community.

Similarly to last year there will be a map made to show where the participating stores are and images of each window will be included throughout the season in Tiny Town Rundown.

Already have your holiday windows planned? Your globe can fit right in! Unlike last year, you won’t need to create an entire display around the story. Simply incorporate the globe at the front of your holiday window where visitors can see and read it from the sidewalk.

This year’s walk will focus on the displays and visitor experience, without a fundraising or window-voting component.

AI was used to put together a mockup to communicate expectation, however,

NO AI WILL BE USED IN THE FINAL PRODUCTS.

Please complete the form below to express your interest. SDDA will follow up to coordinate participation, payment, and display details.

This year’s “Winter Magic” Holiday Window Walk “story” invites visitors to discover the everyday magic we create through kindness, connection, and community.

A letter to the reader sets the stage, while illustrated snow globes displayed in downtown storefronts bring its words to life.

Each globe reveals a familiar moment through a magical lens, encouraging visitors to recognize the wonder within their own lives—and their power to share it long after winter ends.

WINTER MAGIC

by Scotty T.

“Why is winter full of Magic?”
One may ask this with intrigue, joy, or sadness…
The curious mind that notices the sudden shift in nature and the change in tone of a stranger’s greeting.
The excited guest, wide-eyed experiencing everything like it is the first time.
Or the empath wondering why the enchantment seems to be limited, confined… frozen to only a short period.
One thing each one of them DO have in common is they can see it.
The magic.
And that alone is quite special. For Magic is not visible to all, and now that you know this, you may find yourself wondering… “can i see it?”
And to that I reply with another curiosity… do you believe you can?
Our minds often perceive things our eyes did not see and can ignore things standing in plain sight.
So the question is not whether or not it’s there, but rather “do you want to see it?”
For magic is all around.
[Please enjoy discovering scenes of Winter Magic along the Holiday Window Walk in participating storefronts.]
-The healing reprieve from life’s mounting pressures conjured in a friend’s extended hug
-The protection of one’s joy with the gathering of loved ones
-The stirring desire to manifest an act of kindness when a kind stranger smiles at you
-The power expelled by incantations of endearing encouragement
-The enchantment of twinkling lights illuminating neighborhood landscapes
-The summoning of nostalgia by the music from ages past
-The interwoven connection formed with the exchanging of a gift
-A spell cast over the land by way of glistening charms falling from the sky
-Tinctures and potions diffuse through parties bewitching rooms and vaporizing barriers, while cauldrons compel urges of eager anticipation.

So now that you know what it looks like, can you see it?
How do you perceive it? With curiosity? Excitement? Sadness?
Winter Magic can live beyond the season once you realize you possess it.
This winter, may you recognize the power you harness. Believe it. Practice it. Share it.
For the season may change, but the magic remains in you.
